Here's how the process works.
1. Initial Consultation
Your journey with Rume begins with an initial phone call to discuss the basics of your project. During this conversation, we’ll explore your ideas, the intended location, and how far along you are in your planning. We’ll also assess whether a self-contained outbuilding is the right solution for your needs and outline any preliminary research that may be necessary to ensure the project aligns with your vision.
2. Site Visit
Next, we’ll arrange a site visit to view the available space in person. This meeting allows us to discuss your aspirations for the project in more detail and understand the layout and constraints of your property. We’ll also talk about any permissions and regulations that may be relevant to your project, potential timelines, and your budget expectations to ensure we’re aligned moving forward.
3. Proposal
After our site visit, we’ll prepare an initial proposal that outlines potential designs alongside comprehensive specifications and pricing details. This document will give you a clearer idea of what to expect, ensuring that we’re on the same page regarding your requirements and how we can meet them.
4. Final Specification and Approval
Once you’ve reviewed the initial proposal, we’ll work together to agree on the final specifications for your project. This stage includes initiating any necessary preliminary works, permits, and regulations. We’ll also discuss payment terms and set clear expectations for the project to ensure everyone is aligned.
5. Construction Begins
With all approvals in place, we’ll start work on site. Depending on the size and scope of your project, construction can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months for larger multi-unit contracts. Throughout this phase, we’ll keep communication open to ensure you’re updated on progress.
6. Project Management to Completion
We’ll manage the entire process from start to finish, ensuring everything is completed to our high standards. Once the work is done, we’ll hand over the finished project, ready for you to enjoy for many years to come.
